The content system allows multiple user to make edits in articles. It does this while making use of "checking in" and "checking out" an article. A "checked-out" article will appear with a lock in front of the article. Actively prohibiting editing the article. Sometimes when users do not log out properly, it can happen that the "checked-out" status remains on the article. You are then unable to make edits and cannot get into the article.
